Walk Score covers the United States, Canada and Australia. If your listings are anywhere else, BuildingsScore gives every one of them a live 0–5★ livability score — including measured EU environmental-noise data across 24 countries. Two lines of HTML. No API key, no signup, no cost.
Same city, fourteen kilometres apart: one beside a park, one under the Schiphol approach. These widgets are live — whatever they show right now is exactly what a visitor to your listing page would see.
The difference between those two scores is the point. A score that gives every address in a city the same number tells your visitors nothing — and they can tell.
Change data-layout and nothing else. The tall card suits a
sidebar and the wide banner suits the top of a detail page — but on a results grid, where
you have one row of space per listing, use the compact badge:

Render the placeholder once per listing with that listing's coordinates. The loader swaps each one for an auto-resizing iframe, so a results page with twenty listings works the same way as a detail page with one.

Everywhere else — including the United Kingdom, which is no longer in the EU-END reporting cycle — still gets a full seven-dimension score, with noise from our published estimate models. Those are always labelled as estimates in the interface, never presented as measured levels.
The placeholder is inert until the loader runs, and each iframe is
loading="lazy" — a widget below the fold costs nothing until
it scrolls into view. The heavy work (gathering nearby data, reading the noise contours,
scoring) happens on our servers against a cache, not in your visitor's browser.
The widget sets no third-party cookies and runs no advertising or analytics tags inside the iframe. It requests a score for a coordinate you supply. It never asks your visitor for location permission. See our privacy page for the full statement.
Not the widget — the visible attribution and the click-through are what pay for it, so they stay. If you need scores inside your own interface, or in bulk for your listing database, write to us: that is a different conversation and we are open to it.
Send them to the methodology page. Every dimension, weight, distance range and data source is written down, and the noise legend on the map lists the exact levels drawn for that address. We would rather argue about a published method than defend a black box — and if the underlying map data is genuinely wrong, most of it is OpenStreetMap and can be fixed at the source.
Fair question to ask of a free service. The failure mode is graceful: the placeholder div renders as nothing and your page is otherwise untouched — there is no build step, no bundled dependency and no data migration to unwind. Removing it is deleting two lines.
